Innovative Youth Uganda
Unlocking Youth Potential

Innovative Youth Uganda at a Glance
Innovative Youth Uganda was conceived by a group of young community members, passionate about the well-being of youth. With a number of local youth dropping out of school and falling into paths of drugs and crime, we realized something needed to change, and thus, Innovative Youth Uganda was started. After a long civil war that ravaged northern Uganda, we’ve seen high rates of broken families, resulting in inadequate resources to support child development and early marriage. We found that there are numerous business ventures that are both available and underutilized including Agriculture, where youth engagements have been so low. This initiative gives troubled youth the skills and inspires them to unlock their potential to create a more sustainable and productive community.

"Coming from South Sudan in 2017 I was very concerned as we never had quite enough to eat and the children, in particular, were always tired of having the same food each day. When Innovative Youth Uganda came, together with other members, I was supported with vegetable seeds and trained on how to grow these vegetables despite the limited land and little rain. I am now growing Kales, Tomatoes, Onions, and Cabbages. I grow enough for everyone in the household to eat, plus sell the surplus to my neighbors and in the local market."
